Montessori Music Enrichment

During weekly instruction using the Orff-Shulwerk approach, students will be learning about rhythms, music theory, singing, playing instruments and movement. These lessons will also focus on instruments of orchestra, featured composers and The Nutcracker Suite.

The benefits of a Montessori Music Program will benefit nearly every part of the cognitive development of the child. The language, social-environment and mathematical benefits are unmeasurable. Music is an important part of every culture in our world, and as Montessorians we are excited to share it with our students.

Music Sheets

"There should be music in the child's environment, just as there does exist in the child's environment spoken speech. In the social environment the child should be considered and music should be provided."

- Dr. Maria Montessori

"We have had our son here for two and a half years and let me tell you, it was hands down one of the best decisions we’ve made! Leaving your little one with someone during the day is a difficult thing to do but when you leave him in good hands it takes the worry away. This school has adopted the Montessori principles beautifully. They truly know how to nurture children and foster curiosity, structure, academics, independence, empathy, and a love of learning. The teachers truly care about my son. He’s been exposed to different cultures, music, and art. Most importantly he’s been allowed to be a child! The communication from the staff is impeccable. I get videos and pictures as well as communication through the Procare app and our GroupMe. I don’t just hear from them when something needs to improve. I hear about all the sweet and silly things he does all day! Meals and snacks are nutritious wholesome foods which is important to me. We couldn’t ask for a more well rounded, loving, and nurturing environment for our son!"
